022 - Notice of Richmond/Delta Branch Annual General Meeting - January 20, 2020

Hello all. The Branch has chosen to have the
Richmond/Delta Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, January 20, 2020 at our Navy League Cadet Hall, starting at 1900 (or 7:00 pm for land lubbers).

All Cadet's parents are invited and encouraged to attend this very important event where you, the parent, get the opportunity to vote for the Executive Board of the Branch (one vote per family).

We are always looking for new Branch members so come on down and help: It directly helps your Cadets.. The Branch meets once monthly.

Here are our current Branch Members:
  • President: Sherman Lee (stepping down)
  • First Vice President: Patrick Kwok
  • Second Vice President: Maylin Fraser
  • Treasurer: Al Groff
  • Secretary: Della Chen (stepping down)
  • Boats: Currently empty
  • Fund Raising: Currently empty
Responsibilities of the Branch:
  • All Navy League affairs within its territory
  • Supervision of activities, in Navy League matters, of its members and committees
  • Adequate record-keeping of Branch activities
  • Solicitation of membership funds and other donations, within its territorial limits, to carry on the work of The Navy League. Such funds must be raised and used only in the name of The Navy League of Canada
  • Submission of an annual budget for approval as required by Division
  • Provision of monies as required to meet Division and National assessments
  • Conducting of meetings as necessary to carry out its functions
  • Holding an Annual Meeting to:
  • Receive and consider reports of auditors, Navy League Officials, committees, and others
  • Conduct an election of officers
  • Cover such other business as may be necessary for the continued good operation of the Branch
  • Submission of reports and other information to Division as required by Navy League By-Laws and other regulations
  • Routing, through Division, all correspondence and other contacts between the Branch and all Provincial or National Offices outside the Branch area
  • Fulfilling obligations of local sponsor for Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps
  • Control, supervision and administration of Navy League Cadet Corps sponsored by Branch
  • Authorization of all Corps extra-curricular activities. Inter-Branch activities must be cleared through Division.
