Corps History

The NLCC MJ Miller Corps was formed in 1964 by Mike Joseph and Theonilla Miller as our Sponsor.

While also running a successful business (Miller Cartage & Contracting Ltd) and bringing up nine children, the Millers also had our Cadets parading at their home located on Garden City Road in Richmond, BC.

Eventually, our Corps outgrew the Miller's Garden City Road home and started parading at the Forum on Sea Island until 1974.
In 1975, the Miller's purchased a building from Cook Road and Buswell which was, at that time, a spa building. This building was renovated into our present home, the Navy League Hall which is located at 7411 River Road, Richmond, BC.

Sadly, Mike passed away in 2007 and Theonilla in 2015. They are survived by their 6 sons, 3 daughters, 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

NLCC MJ Miller parades on Tuesday nights from September to June from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the Navy League Cadet Hall at 7411 River Road, Richmond, BC.
